Turning 60

This month, I turn 60.

It’s a milestone that’s brought with it a deeper awareness of time. Not in a way that feels heavy or rushed, but in a way that feels grounding. An invitation to honour the path already walked, and to allow what comes next to unfold quietly.

As I reflect on the years behind me, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. For the life I’ve lived, for the people and places that have shaped me, and for the moments that continue to leave their mark.

I am marking the occasion with a gift for you. All of the details are linked below.

A special gift for you

A life shaped by art

Art has always been how I make sense of the world.

Of where I come from. Of family. Of change. Of connection.

Over the years, my relationship with art has become more trusting. As I continue to change and evolve, my work has given me a deeper understanding of who I am and where I’ve been. It has offered me a voice, and a way to stay connected to what matters most.

One moment still feels pivotal. The day I chose to leave my full-time career and commit to creating art fully. There was fear and uncertainty, but also a quiet reassurance that I would be okay. That trusting myself and my work would lead me where I needed to go.

Journey

The word journey has changed meaning for me over time.

Today, it speaks to growth and evolution. Looking back at how far I’ve come, while staying open to what’s still unfolding in my life and my work. It’s shaped by family, by choice, and by the experiences that stay with us.

This idea of journey sits at the heart of everything I create. From my paintings to my jewellery, each piece is made with intention. Quiet works that hold story, memory, and meaning beyond the moment they’re chosen.

When someone chooses to live with my work, I hope they feel warmth and a sense of grounding. That it becomes more than something on a wall or something worn. That it carries presence, love, and connection into their space.

Lasting impact

Turning 60 has brought a deeper appreciation for the trust people place in my work.

To know that clients can feel the love, presence, and energy behind each piece is deeply affirming. Every artwork that finds its forever home means more to me than words can express.

Becoming a grandmother has also offered a new perspective. One that feels grounding, and one that I know will quietly shape my work in the years ahead. It’s reminded me of what it means to slow down, to notice, and to allow life to unfold in its own time.

A birthday thank you

To mark this birthday month, I wanted to share a small thank you.

Throughout January, each order includes a small print from me, shared with gratitude.

For those who choose to invest more deeply, orders over $500 are also entered into a draw to receive a piece from my Journey jewellery collection. Pieces created from the same stories and intentions that shape my paintings.

There’s no expectation. Just appreciation. A reflection of how much I appreciate those who choose to connect with my work during this time.

Thank you for being here

This month feels like a moment to pause.

To reflect. To acknowledge what has been. And to gently welcome what comes next.

Thank you for being here, and for continuing to make space for my work in your lives.
Walking alongside this journey with you has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

With gratitude,
Lizzy
